Sorry I haven't posted here in who knows how long! Life has been hectic, as you know. I'm looking forward to catching up on Memoirs when life calms down.

Mmmm it's been a while since I posted here but tbh I GOT TO SAY...this new chapter was so good. The past few chapters have been so great but this new one was just like a giant CONFIRMED to me.
Sometimes I gotta wonder how you do it. WRECK ME EMOTIONALLY AND THEN STILL KEEP MY INTEREST WHY DON'T YOU...

Thank you very much for sticking it out this far, and I'm glad you're still enjoying it! The emotional wreck isn't quite over yet, as the next chapter will be the closing chapter of this entire 152-chapter mega-arc, bidding farewell to where we've been and moving ahead in a new direction.

Hi! I'm not caught up yet (I might be a wee bit behind) but I wanted to let you know that I'm still around, and you're still one of my bigger role models. I was discussing worldbuilding with my (newly engaged) fiancé, and brought up Kakyou, Genkyou and Yachouon. We talked about it for nearly a half hour! He thought that was so cool.

Wow, thank you for posting! Sorry that I don't check this forum too often anymore since it only sees activity a couple times a year, but I do try to check it every few weeks. I'm glad you took the time to comment, and I'm also glad that I've been able to be an inspiration to you. Hope to continue to see you in the future.

Oh, huh... I honestly thought people had stopped reading it years ago and I was mostly just still writing it out of habit. But it's been treading water for a long time and I'm just running out of ideas for how to get it to move forward. And when I'm forcing myself to update every month, it feels like a disservice if I'm not really putting my heart into it anymore.

What about Puppy? Well, I'm still here to cheer you on. Dragons are kind of stubborn that way. We don't easily give up on friends. Or guarding treasure (we make good museum curators.)
But if you feel the need to move on I guess I understand. Follow where your heart takes you. <3 If you'd like me along, just let me know which way you went. I've always admired your tenacity. I keep trying to convince myself to take on telling a story the way you have. I'm sure it wouldn't come out as well as yours though. Here even today I didn't manage to practice sketching, though I did do some writing, and have enjoyed reading for fun. Yet, turning it into something finished is challenging.

Puppy got a new job quite a few years ago and no longer had the time or energy to beta read, so I've been going solo for quite a while without any feedback. We still chat on occasion, but she isn't involved with the story anymore. But the way it's been going, it didn't feel like it was headed towards any kind of "finish" in any kind of forseeable future and the story progression has stalled out for a long time, so I never felt like I was getting anywhere, and thus didn't think there was any merit in forcing myself to continue it.

Man, I'd forgotten how good this story was. Feels good to be caught up again.
And yeah, I feel you on the whole motivation thing. It's been like two years since I wrote the third chapter of my first story, and I'm just now working up the guts to tackle chapter 4.
Honestly, if you sincerely feel that your story isn't "going" anywhere, and you don't feel like it's worth forcing yourself to continue? Well, I'd be a bit sad and disappointed, but I'd also be proud of you, both for being honest with yourself and your audience, and for managing to keep it going for this long in the first place.
In the end, it's your call, but I just thought I'd pop in to say that I appreciate you and all the wonderful words you've written over the years. If it's readers you want, maybe you could transfer this story to FFN or AO3? Either way, I hope you are able to enjoy whatever passes for the holidays this year.
Cheers, mate.

I'm glad to see that this is still going after all this time. I'm going to have to go back and do some rereading since it's been years and years since I've last been caught up. This story was one of the bookmarks I made years ago that's been following me through my browsers and computers as the years went on, and I'm glad it's not went the way of the Dodo like a bunch of unfinished other fics of the same era.
Now that Yashahime is going to be a thing, I'm wondering if there is going to be a resurgence of Inuyasha fics on the internet again.
