Chapter 116 is up! I also added some new pictures in the Picture book that I've made of the the past month. I've been experimenting with some manga-style images and have added a couple under my heading.

The April Fool's version of Chapter 117 is up. This year's theme: how many bad fanfiction tropes can I cram into one chapteer? Chapter will remain up throughout the day, after which it will be archived over at the Memoirs Picture Book.

Not sure if anyone reads the forum anymore, but just to let people know, I've been knocked out by a bad stomach bug for the past couple of days and have therefore not had the energy to work on the new chapter. Therefore, it may be posted a few days late.

And after a delay due to illness, chapter 118 is now up.

Chapter 119 is up. I suck at writing sappy stuff, so it might be a bit more tongue-in-cheek and technical than these things typically go.

It's a good thing Inu-papa kept his name suggestion to himself. I'm pretty sure Hisui, sweet as she is, doesn't want to hear the child she spent several tense hours squeezing out called "Chinless."

Heh, there was originally going to be a conversation something like this, but it ended up getting axed from the final version of the chapter for not really fitting the flow: ("Aka-chan" = "baby". We also use it as a cutesy nickname for Akagane himself outside of the story)

Have you considered an "Outtakes" section for Memoirs, where you'd put content that was cut for length or flow? Not really. If I did, they'd just be scenes mentioned in the forum like the one above. Sometimes I'll have an idea for a seemingly-witty line or short scene that I want to put into the chapter, but as I'm writing it, the flow and progression no longer allows for the scene to take place, so it just doesn't. There are a couple of times in earlier chapters where I still tried to force a joke that when I look back on them now I regret. A lot of the story has involved me coming up with short, specific scenes for each key point along the plotline, but by the time the story gets there, the mood or the prior happenings no longer allow the scene to be written quite like I'd had in mind originally. So instead of trying to force my original idea to happen, I just let the scene flow naturally and make sure what needs to happen still happens, and consider my "keyframe" scenes to just be placeholders rather than, "Okay, when I get here I need exactly this scene just like this."

The story is going to be moving into its "endgame" pretty soon (at least for the first mega-arc), and I'm wondering if there were any loose ends that haven't been tied up yet or things that haven't been sufficiently explained. When you already know what's going on, it's kind of hard to tell if you've adequately explained yourself so that your readers are on the same footing. So, plot holes, unresolved issues, stuff that still makes no sense, let me know now so I can see if I can feasibly work something in. There are a couple of things that I know haven't been dealt with (like the promise to the koma-inu statue made way back when, or the current whereabouts of the Shikon no Tama), but if there's other things, I'd like to know.

What's going to happen with Wakage? It seems like she left the story rather abruptly, when she could have been a decent ally for the battle against Souzuo Tennou.

Chapter 120 is up. A bit on the short side, but I couldn't think of anything to pad it with that wasn't just, well, padding.
Next chapter hopefully we'll finally get underway towards heading off for the final battle.

Ah! I'll read and link to it as soon as I've had some uninterrupted sleep c:
Edit: After reading, all I can think is "Whaaat? Akagane and the Inu no Taishō are confronting Souzou Tennou by themselves? I didn't realize that was the plan! Well, that won't go well. Better prepare myself to say goodbye to Akagane."

Was there something that was leading you to believe they wouldn't be going by themselves? These are the kinds of things I like to know, since I'd just assumed that had been a given. ^_^* Or were you expecting something like the end of "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" where a giant army of people shows up out of nowhere to help Arthur storm the castle? Akagane is going to be hard for me to let go. XD I tried once in the Ryakki arc and lasted all of ten chapters before I ended up bringing him back. But things have to move on, otherwise Mini-Papa is going to be a kid forever.
