Been a while since a chapter needed a "translation note". But here's just a bit of information that will make chapter 50 make more sense: The Japanese word for "horse" is "uma", and is written like this: ”n. The Japanese word for "deer" is "shika" and is written like this: Ž. However, if you put both characters together, you end up with ”nŽ, which is pronounced "baka". This isn't just a play on sounds, the "horse-deer" combination is actually the "official" way to write "baka" in kanji. Ha ha. Although I don't think I would necessarily see them as idiots; maybe just limited in the intelligence department? I got Onitengu and Oniushi (tengu ogre and ox ogre) but what is Onibuta? (Hmmmm. The ox ogre and horse ogre were guards of the underworld. Is this going somewhere?)

No, I'm not really trying to hint at anything with that. ^_^* The "Onitengu" name was meant both to indicate that he's a combination of two powerful supernatural entities, and that he probably had a long nose, which is why Myouga could be confused for a tiny version of him. All the animal names are mostly just to indicate that there's some weird-ass crossbreeding going on.

"Buta" is pig; so there seems to be a serious animal theme going on. Of Course!!! I knew that! I got Onitengu and Oniushi (tengu ogre and ox ogre) but what is Onibuta? (Hmmmm. No, I'm not really trying to hint at anything with that. ^_^* The "Onitengu" name was meant both to indicate that he's a combination of two powerful supernatural entities, and that he probably had a long nose, which is why Myouga could be confused for a tiny version of him. Now it really makes you wonder WTF? is going on with the females.

The last sentence of this most recent chapter was quite epic. =) I've still been reading it, but I got an RSS feed hooked up to it so I haven't been visiting the site much. Heh. But really, I'm very happy that we seem to be moving somewhere.

But really, I'm very happy that we seem to be moving somewhere. You mean you thought it wasn't going anywhere before? Yeah, I know this arc was a bit slow on the uptake. Mostly because I didn't want to dive right into this part right away, otherwise this arc would have only been three chapters long and would have lacked the necessary build-up. It'll still probably end up the same length or shorter than Yachouon's arc, though. Dunno when I'll be writing the next chapter, though, because I'm currently suffering from an overactive thyroid which is wreaking havoc on my muscle control and concentration.

Well, it's got me wondering who the "Boss" is. Dunno when I'll be writing the next chapter, though, because I'm currently suffering from an overactive thyroid which is wreaking havoc on my muscle control and concentration. Ow. that sounds awful. I have just the opposite, low thyroid. If I don't take my supplement regularly, I feel very lethargic and gain weight. Not good. You are seeing a doctor? Take care, and I hope you feel better soon.

Take care, and I hope you feel better soon. Yeah, I have the opposite symptoms. Hyperactive muscles to the point that I'm constantly hot and jittery, and rapid weight loss. I can't see a doctor about it for another week, though, so I have to bear with it until then. Though, knowing my luck, it'll go away on its own before then (though I probably should still get some tests run). As for the story, I'm predicting this arc to last two, maybe three more chapters before another gear shift, so hopefully I can make it to that point in a reasonable amount of time, barring any other health or personal interferences.

*sniiifffff* Yeah, so, whatever was wrong with me before did indeed vanish on its own before I managed to get to the doctor... but it was instead replaced by a head cold, which I have now been battling for the past week. I've been in the "perpetual runny nose and sinus pressure" stage for three days now, so hopefully it'll eventually wear itself out.
Just stopping in to say, yes, I'm still working on the site, it's just that my health has not been very cooperative as of late. Not to mention it's the holiday season now and things are getting busy.

Awww. I hope you get better soon. Just make sure you don't get some deadly disease and die, not only because memoirs wouldn't ever be finished ( ), but we'd miss you. Of course, you're probably perfectly fine (my father has overactive thyroid too, he takes medicine for it); I'm just a hypochondriac. =p

Finally updated, and I hope the new chapter isn't a disappointment. It was written over the course of, like, three weeks as my health and obligations kept getting in the way, so I don't really know how disjointed it ended up being. Hopefully I can finish the arc before Christmas, provided my health improves. I'm on antibiotics right now, but that comes with its own fun subset of side-effects to deal with.

It looks fine, and reads good. Now I REALLY want to know, "What Is Going On Here??" Especially about the females and what is happening to them. (I knew about Myouga all along.)

Just to let people know in case it wasn't already obvious, due to yet another holiday drawing near, I am utterly swamped with work and won't have any time to work on the site until possibly even after New Year's.
Sorry about the lack of updates. x__X

...what? WHAT?! Nooo! That did not just happen! You can't just let it end like this. Ryakki-chan... your mom... the blood at the bottom of the page... Thank you, Inu-Papa, you made me cry. (Not actually sarcastic. Really good writing.)
