its not that, its just that there's still too much plot to develop in just a movie, but there isn't so much to make a whole new series. OVAs can go from 1 o 20 ^^"

Well seeing as how the Anime writers pick and choose how much of the manga plot to show, I mean 11 chapters in one episode and all, it seems to me a movie is as likely as anything else. But one things for sure, that last episode was not the final one. Be it OVAs movies, more episodes, it's comming back. I have no doubt of that.

Really I think the anime writters have done a pretty good job, the only fault was one incredibly compressed episode.
There's another alternative for anime when it catches up with a manga, but the results can be disasterous, and that's to make complete filler sagas until there is enough manga content to go on.
Take Rurouni Kenshin for an example, after the Kyoto arc there were nothing but filler sagas, and those ended up killing the anime and having it canceled before the manga storyline could resume.
So really, a haitus is actually a good idea.

I dunno, fillers can be insanely funny, especially with InuYasha! I still have to laugh when I see him Kaze No Kizu the auditorium! I do see your point however, B-chan, I don't know if I could take almost a whole season of filler eps. As for the last episode, I thought it was really well done and I was SOOO happy to see purified demon Inu with Kagome! That just made my day! ;D

Dunno, I just had my quota of fillers with season 3... Owarinai Yume was such a great opening, but the episodes were so... UGH!!! The show was dead to me when Kiroro (male for Kirara XDDDD) showed up... and then started downloading it again when the Shichinintai arc started

Oh heavens, wasn't that just *ghastly*? But I heard the anime switched hands and the new producers decided they didn't care to follow the manga anymore, not that they overtook the story. ::shrug::

I do agree and I don't want what happened to RK(which I truly love) to happen to Inu Yasha, but I REALLY wished that they would have gone on for just a bit more, although I'm sure that after a designated(and long) period of time, they will keep going. It just doesn't make sense for them to just END it there. Right?
