In that clip, yes. That's been circulating around the internet for quite some time, actually. I should start circulating a copy of the end of the Juso no Kamen game and see what kinds of rumors that will start, mwahahaha. --- Episode 163. You know, to be honest, I wasn't really expecting anything that good (other than eye candy, since Ikeda is animation art Goddess Supreme) out of it. I should really have had more faith in them, especially being that the anime is coming to a close in two more episodes. That episode was GORGEOUS. The music, the animation, the sentiment behind it. All of it. I especially got choked up in the end, by the tree scene. Heh. Inuyasha was all about powerful misty-eyed performances this week, first with episode 163, again with chapter 374. That's why I love this series. ^_^

Er.... well... if you've been keeping up with the manga... *heh-heh* Chapter 355: Yes, Inuyasha and company were lured inside of the stomach of a giant ogre. And yes, they get trapped. Inuyasha uses Kagome's shikon shard to strengthen Tessaiga (seeing that nothing else was working), and starts turning all-youkai. Kagome jumps in and tries to purify him. So Inuyasha gets to have his face-stripes, mascara, and uberfangsandclaws, all while having his trademark gold (instead of demonic red) eyes. HE LOOKED AWESOME. That is actually my favorite chapter, but I'm a youkai Inuyasha fan. *sadistic grin* --- As far as the Kikyou-resurrection rumor? Yeah, that's been the subject of many a fanfic. But it's never happened.

I know many won't appreciate this but...
Anyone wonder why the anime went out of its way to keep Kouga out of the picture? The guy has been out of the series for like 40 eps, and not only did he not get a "good-bye" episode like everyone else, they wrote him out of the moment when he should appear. But maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, he didn't appear on the preview but maybe he'll at least get a cameo or something...
Come on, I know the guy isn't popular, but he deserves better treatment.

And, as far as I can tell, Kouga's return has in fact been written out of the episode. He does not appear in 165's cast list on YTV's site. That doesn't necessarily mean he's not in the episode, but if he is, he doesn't have any lines. Granted, the YTV cast list has made minor errors before, but you'd think they wouldn't leave him out...

that one was harsh... I don't like the wimpy wolf at all, but he WAS in that chapter! (not that he did anything besides using his sword (MAN would I have paid to see that animated!!!), but the guy does deserve a bit of consideration... not from me, of course )

Im kind of getting mad that they keep putting old episodes on. Why only put it on saturdays? It kind of sucks that its being put off like that.

After watching the latest episode I was left feeling that it could have been better had they just done it in two epsiodes.
The scenes weren't so bad, the ones that suffered the most where Kikyo's encounter with Naraku and Inuyasha's fight with Mouryoumaru.
Really, had they streatched Kikyo's scenes till the end of the episode and dedicated the next to the introduction of Mouryoumaru it could have been a lot better, but oh well, could have been worse.

Great summary, Patches. And my, you got it up quick! I'm bummed that we missed an image of Jaken and Rin clinging to the Fluffy security-blanket style. Unlike the manga, did the anime show Sesshoumaru rescuing Kagura from the water? If so, how did it go down?

It just cut to a shot of the trees, and then Kagura was out of the water and Jaken and Rin were all wet. Jaken did get a couple of added lines, though, like, "Ack, don't look!" and "Put some clothes on!!!" ^_^*

I liked the ending, and I'm pretty sure that there'll be OVAs... About Ogre's Rock... MAN IT WAS GREAT!!! It felt like moving manga frames in color!!!!

Ending? What ending? It sounds to me like they did a rush job to catch up the manga and then left it open with nothing resolved. This whole thing seems more like a hiatus then and finale to me. I'm expecting the series to pick up again maybe next year or more likely a movie that covers the rest of the manga which will probably be concluded in the next few months.

I really doubt the movie thing... about the series starting again next year... I don't know, they wouldn't have much material to make another season. OVAs sounds more like it.

Is that what they usually do in Japan to end a long running series?
