For those who buy InuYasha VIZ graphic novels like myself....
Do you ever wish they would flip the dang books back around so they are in original Japanese manga style format?
I hate how they didn't keep them that way. I know for some it doesn't matter but personally I really wish they would change it. Like before, they had the first big hunky versions that cost 15 bucks or so and then at about #11 they changed them into the smaller and cheaper ones... I liked that (saves money!) but even still it bothered me.
I wanted the art to stay the way it was meant to be seen.
Does anyone else feel the same?
(I know this isn't really news or anything but I wanted to hear other peoples opinions)

What I have to wonder is why they left the ANIME books unflipped. I saw one in the store and looked at it, suddenly realizing that the cover was on the "wrong" side. I mean, I guess they didn't want to flip the anime versions of the pictures, since more people are used to seeing it on TV, but...
Poor Fluffy is still missing his RIGHT arm in the manga...

Something interesting about the Viz manga volumes I noticed today:
Corellating with their translation for the anime series, Viz has kept the "Iron Reaver Soul Stealer" and "Boomerang Bone" attack names in the manga. However, just today I spotted the newest volume at the local bookstore (Volume 17), and noted that inside the attacks were labled with the original Japanese names, followed by an asterisk indicating the Viz-oriented translation at the bottom of the page. Glancing at Viz's previous novels of Inuyasha, they had not done this -- could this be a step in the right direction??
EDIT: lol -- originally, I had had the typo "Iron Reaver Seal Stealer" -- yikes!! Wouldn't that have been a little odd! ^^;;

In the back of (presumably) every Viz publication there is a response card, asking, basically, whether their products should be more anglicized or truer to the original Japanese. I remember that they ask about page-flopping and sound effects --whether they should edit the images to replace the kana with English equivalents.
Presumably, people have been asking for a more genuinely Japanese product. I notice their Rurouni Kenshin is un-flopped, though the sound effects are still in English.

I wish that they hadn't flipped it. At first when I began reading unflipped manga I was confused all the time but now I'm glad that I taught myself the skill (and it'll help with future Japanese learning.) I'm the type of person who believes that if you can't put in the effort to appreciate it as it was intended, you shouldn't be reading it, but I understand that a whole lot less manga would be sold if people did things the way I wanted, and I guess sharing the culture, even if it does mean dumbing some stuff down to a 'lowest common denominator' shares anime/manga stuff to a lot of people who otherwise wouldn't get it... and those people who get into it through the dumbed down versions will hopefully get into the culture... maybe Viz should've put out the 2nd edition unflipped? That way people could get into it through the flipped way but then adjust to the other? And by that time they'd like the series enough to not let the 'weird' format stop them from continuing.
--this is my first post here, hello everyone!--

I think it would be much better left as it is, or in other words, not flipped.
When they flip it, doesn't it make all the right handers into left handers? They should have the manga the way the artist intended it. Also, it isn't that hard to read the other way, but then again, I read books in Chinese which are also the other way.

I like it better flipped. I think it is easier to read and everything. I wouldn't really care if it wasn't tho. I read both., but I like the flipped ones better.
