I'm currently in the process of making a few custom avatars for this site (the little pictures that appear under your name) that are Inuyasha-related. At the moment, I only have two: and that top one I'm reserving for me, so it's not on the avatar list in the profile options. But, I hope to have more in the future. So, at the moment, I'm open to requests of characters you'd like me to make custom avatars of. They'll all be drawn "chibi-style" like the two existing ones, and will be 75x75 pixels. So, just let me know what characters you want available, and I'll see what I can do.

Is there anyway to make our own Avatars? I have one picked out that I want to use, youve seen it before Patches (My AF Sig) So is there going to be a custom Avatar feature?
My name looks so plain, it needs something cool

Well, you SHOULD already be able to use your own custom off-site avatars by providing a URL in your profile. I don't THINK there's a post-count requirement, but I could be wrong. Just check your profile and see if there's a space in the avatar section to post a link to your own.
As for the "custom avatars" that I was talking about, I'm just making Inuyasha-themed ones to replace the default avatars that the forum gives, and making them public for whoever wants to use them. They'll show up in the little site-provided avatar list in the profile editor (currently, only the Sesshoumaru avatar is on that list, listed as "sess1").

Well, mini-update, I just finished a new avatar, so now there's all of two original IY avatars to choose from if you feel so inclined:

Had to add that, this is a thread about avatars and I dont want to go off topic...

[glow=red,2,300]About the avatars thingie... it would be sooo kool if there could be a sango/miroku one ^__^ hehe. Maybe you can make one of those?? If yes, that would be great since the ones you made so far look sooo kawaii, but you don't have to. I have a gatomon avatar rite now, its kinda kawaii also ^^[/glow]

Humm, I don't suppose You could give me a cute disconcerted inuyasha? I adore one that have looking really confused. Such as when He is so non plussed at something. If that isn't descriptive enough I have some examples I could forward. I like a avatar that shows me as i am most of the time Confused! I realy like your avatars so far they just arn't me.

Oh yeah, I suppose I could let people use my older animated ones, too ^_^*: Chibi Sessho and Inu-papa bobble heads will eat you all! And I see the requests for a MiroSan and "Confused Inuyasha". I'll see what I can sketch up for those later tonight.

You can draw one picture, then make it transparent to use as a reference for other frames. I kept the initial sketch of the Inu-papa gif (there's an extra frame in the initial version, but I ended up cutting it out because he looked like he was headbanging ^_^*):

Ah I get it!
Photoshop, something I need to get...
Ok, second question... Where do you host your animations, gifs, pictures, etc...
I tried making a gif for my AF sig, but I couldnt host it anywhere...
Any help in this field would be nice!
Thanks for the help youve already offered Patches...

Ok, second question... Where do you host your animations, gifs, pictures, etc... I host them on my school webspace. We have 100 meg of HTML space, so I typically just throw everything in there randomly. ... However, this is going to pose a problem when I graduate in a month, since then I too will be sans image-hosting space.

Yay, I made a MiroSan avatar! This is actually my first time EVER drawing EITHER of those two characters, so if they look a little weird (besides being chibified), you can blame it on that. I'm just kinda disappointed that I spent a bunch of time adding a bunch of neat shading to the original picture that just doesn't show up when it's shrunk that small. -_-* Ah well.
