The incidental music is excellent (reminds me of the original Star Trek, the way each character has a theme, but I guess that dates me a little... Heheh).
I'm not a fan of pop music, though, and J-pop seems to be like, the Jolt Cola of pop music. The only opening/end themes I really like for themselves in their entirety are "Come", "Fukai Mori", "I am", "Owaranai Yume", and "Shinjitsu no Uta".
And yet... something about the other songs amuses me enough that I'll listen to them. I couldn't tell you why.
Other songs from other series... I'm terrible with names, but the opening and ending themes of Fruits Baskets are very sweet. Azumanga Daioh's "Raspberry Heaven" is cute and dreamy, and its opening theme (um... Something messed up like "Dream Cake"?) is charmingly insane. I also really liked some of the songs used in Otougi Zoshi, especially (I think it's called...) "Cry, Baby, Cry". Very Beatles. Oh, and the end theme of Trigun, as it was played on CN... something about the winds of the future.
I should stop before I half-remember anything else. XD

Echolaila, you should listen to Hellsing's ending, its written and performed by Richie Kotzen, and that CAN'T be a bad thing. Its called Shine, I believe,
Incidental music in Inuyasha is top notch, with obviously some themes being just plain dull (Houjou's theme, for instance), but Kaoru Wada made a WONDERFUL work nevertheless.

I'm still around. I just don't have much to say these days since like you guys are mentioning, the chapters don't really inspire much to talk about.
I was hopeful however when it looked like Takahashi was going to develop Kana some more a few chapters ago, but alas.

I feel with you there, Panoramacon. But whatever... let's just get over it and......... well, I'm not stopping reading the manga anytime soon (at least as I can see Takahashi isn't willing to end it anytime soon), so let's just wait for the OVAs and we'll finall get to see the nice flowery scene animated (I tried to put in some sort of spoiler tag, but couldn't, so I just decided to encrypt it the best way I could XD)
