Hmm... The potion is a good idea, but I think he should've used more blood. Not too much, but more than a drop.
What if a human's making dinner and cuts their finger and gets a little blood on the food without noticing? What if he's in the middle of a battle and some human bleeds all over the ground and then he trips and falls with his mouth open? Or if they start spraying blood all over when he's talking or eating or something? What if someone gets bitten by a rattle snake and he has to suck the venom out?!
Okay, okay, they're kinda unrealistic... But he still should have done more than that. Like, half a teaspoon. Except that means he has to drink more of Akagane's blood right now... Maybe at least a couple of drops?

These are all valid points, and one of the big running themes of the story is dealing with the unforseen consequences of your actions. He's basically taking a drug to cure part of his problem, and he has to weigh the drug's positive effects with its side-effects and decide whether or not it's worth it. The most glaring problem with it, though, is that it introduces a very exploitable weakness should any enemy of his find out about it. Sigh... the format in which it happens makes it not quite so glaringly obvious, but yes... he's drinking Akagane's blood. Which just seems kind of... weird. |

Sigh... the format in which it happens makes it not quite so glaringly obvious, but yes... he's drinking Akagane's blood. Which just seems kind of... weird. No more weird than "Mating Marks," and other... "weird" things you find in fanfics. LOL  The trouble with such solutions (or "potions" haha), is they are either "temporary," or "limited" in scope. With the potion there is sure to be some catch to taking it. And, in papa's case, I will guess that he will still have to face his internal "enemy," and figure a way to neutralize it. Of course, the big question is "Who Done It?  ??"  |

I told you I had no idea what to do with this chapter, so was just going to go weird. All that needs to be done before the next plot point is a bit of training, which is fairly boring, and the best way to make it not boring is to make it silly.  |

I think Akagane and somewhat-chibi!papa are going to need a "man to man" talk soon, before Kogane decides to explain in a rather embarrassing manner. But considering your age and that Eika might still be expecting you in a few years, and all the other misunderstandings you've had recently...

Stupid exploding Bunchies. The next chapter could possibly be a little delayed as well, seeing as next weekend is Youmacon and I will be sufficiently distracted with that. Way to bait the yaoi fangrls. It's "love" in the familial sense! That's the official story and I'm sticking to it for the purposes of plot. And even if it was indicative of something else, it's an entirely one-sided crush by a younger guy just getting to be that age where his hormones start kicking in and he has no idea how to interpret how he feels. Akagane, on the other hand, will not take the jail-bait. He prefers chicks. Why do you think he likes melons so much? |
