For all the Yachouon fans, here he is! Yachouon! ----------------------- I had the strangest dream last night, and I'm sorry, but I... I just have to share a part of it. Akagane flipped out on chibi!papa about something (darned if I can remember it now, but it may have had something to do with their prior enemies treating Inupapa like he was their leader), and started chasing him with Sansazume in the grocery store, knocking things off shelves and whatnot (and nearly knocking Kogane over in the dairy isle), but nobody seemed to care about that. Then Inupapa ran toward the front of the store, where Hisui, totally oblivious to the situation, was standing at the cash register waiting in line. Inupapa managed to avoid being seen, but Hisui grabbed Akagane and held him up, talking about this big meal she was planning to make them for supper and this and that, while he's desperately wishing she'll stop talking so he can get by. Now, this was my local grocery store, and most of the whole front of the store has these huge glass windows. So, Akagane shouts after Inupapa "Do not think I can't see where you escape to!" So, while Akagane is caught up with Hisui, Inupapa takes advantage of his head start and races across the parking lot, narrowly avoiding being hit by cars driven by my old high school classmates, one of which offers to give him a lift. He thinks about it for a second, but since Akagane seemed to be really serious this time, he could be putting them in danger. So anyway, he runs out of the parking lot, down the sides of busy roads, across the bypass, where he then gets stuck on the bike trail which is blocked by a large-ish group of people walking their bikes up the hill. He manages to get in front of them by jumping over, bouncing on some bikes but since he's light enough nothing was really hurt. Inupapa takes the oppertunity to look back, thinking he's lost Akagane, and finding that he's now right behind the group of cyclists. Akagane, being a smart guy, just runs around the path and the group of cyclists. Don't ask me why it didn't occur to Inupapa to go around the path, because, in hindsight, I don't have a clue. Oh, and it's suddenly not raining anymore. Anyway, Inupapa turned to run, but Akagane threw his chain around Inupapa, keeping him bound. So, Akagane, thoroughly tired, stalks toward Inupapa, "I've finally caught you" or something to that effect, then the 404 page for your website shows up. After a short while, it disappears, and Akagane appears at the bottom of the hole that Inupapa is digging on that page (though, actually, it's a lot deeper and more dry-well shaped). Last thing I remember is a relieved Inupapa then a shout "I'm not your enemy!" So, that is the first vivid dream I have every had about your memoirs characters. I've seen them in snatches in my other dreams, but this was, frankly, amazing. Thankfully, I was smart and wrote it down the moment I woke up. I doubt I would have remembered it all otherwise. And, I am very sure that I switched from past tense to present tense and back and forth several times in the retelling. Sorry. And sorry for the HUGE post. I've been reading Memoirs out loud (dramatically xD) to my friend, and we're only now at the part where we meet Ryakki, which might explain why Akagane is a bit... well.. EDIT: And, I forgot to mention, this dream was all the more exciting, since I was chibi!papa, running for my life.

That's an impressively coherent dream, Taisara. So, because not knowing for absolute certain whether leather would, in fact, stiffen bothered the hell out of me, I performed some experiments. Here are my results, having dunked the corner of small pieces of soft, dyed leather in rubbing alcohol so as not to waste drinking alcohol: initial dunking - no stiffening 1 min - alcohol has spread to whole piece, some dye loss - no stiffening, sopping wet, frigid cold 5 min - leather still supple, but is slow to relax if shaped, folded, etc - will more or less hold form it is shaped into - still damp, cold 10 minutes - leather still supple, but retains form perfectly if shaped - less damp, less cold 20 minutes - leather still supple, slightly damp, slightly cold 30 minutes - still supple, dry, room temperature - no longer holds a shape. So, in other words, the rubbing alcohol has no lasting effect on the stiffness of the leather, and certainly no immediate effect except to freeze you half to death. Also I did some research, and evidently ethanol (a.k.a. drinking alcohol) is actually used to clean leather, as the basis for many leather dyes (and a means to remove leather dyes), to safely store it and protect it from stiffening, as well as to restore leather that has already stiffened. So, in other words, jumping into the alcohol WOULD NOT lock up Akagane's suit (except by magic), but very well may unlock an already stiff suit (although it would take awhile). A la this last chapter in extreme fast-forward. This has been your edition of fashion-grad-with-a-curious-streak.

Most of my dreams lately have been very detailed, and easily remember-able. :S
Also, hehe about the leather research.

This dream needs to be read with Yakety Sax playing in the background. But seriously, I feel moved that people are actually dreaming about what I write. XD You're reading Akagane with an appropriately stuffy British accent, right?

I mean, hell, I did that whole mass calculation of Sansazume back in the earlier pages of this thread since I was curious as to just how heavy it would be. I bow to your superior experimentation skills. *bow bow* ... At least I got the part about it being freakin' cold right.

Actually, it's because I'm too lazy to draw it. But, hey, let's go with that last one! =P Gah, I forgot to ask. Do you have a website and/or a different name you'd like to have in your credits?

You're reading Akagane with an appropriately stuffy British accent, right? Oh yes, I am. Or at least, as well as I can. I know it's time to stop though when all of my accents turn scottish, because then I feel bad for poor Akagane's lines being murdered.

So... uh... I've been watching too much Ranma lately and.. uh... I'm sorry! I had to do it! Slightly NSFWEDIT: I would have done Akagane instead, but thought the chances of Inupapa going to China would be much higher than the chances of Akagane going there.

Be thankful I decided against drawing what I originally set out to draw. EDIT: HAH! I have successfully scared away Inupapa! That is no small feat.

Sorry for double-post, but new chapter, new post.
That sage. Sometimes I don't know whether I love him or hate him. That kind of guy will really drive you up a wall. xD Were Inuyasha in this situation, I believe the poor sage would have been hit at the end of this chapter. Multiple times.
And also, I am very excited that there's a new chapter. I check several times a day... *sheepish look**toe-circles*

Yay, new chapter! Happiness!
They should just tie Wan-chan up in the middle of the woods or something, and take off the rosary. Then he can try to figure out how to control himself, without hurting anyone! If he does get loose, then Akagane can be there to knock him out. Wan-chan did only get close to killing him because he refused to fight back.
I wonder what that potion does... Guess I'll have to wait for the next chapter!
