Hey guys; popping in to say I'm not dead, just been having some life issues that resulted in me going into airplane mode to sort myself out. I'll probably be around again more from now on, especially now that I've caught up and hnngh somewhat-older Inu-Papa is awesome-looking with that hair. I think I must draw him. He'll finally be getting some new clothes in the next chapter, though... as soon as I can come up with a design for them, since it's going to be hard to top what he was wearing before. ... Unless you prefer him shirtless. It doesn't matter how built he's gotten, he's still 13. No...no, clothes are good. Clothes plz.

Got another picture for the scrapbook! I'm a bit on the fence about how 'done' I feel it is, and might just end up adding something more to it. Attachments:

Yay, a new outfit! xD Makes me want to do some fanart. I tried before, but I couldn't get his clothes right. Now it'll be easier. ^.^ I might draw him in his puppy form, too, because I recently got a lot better at drawing animals. Or at least cats. Drawing kitties and puppies can't be that different, can it? =P

I think his new duds will do for a while, though. Also, dogs are surprisingly difficult to draw when it comes to getting the snout to look right, so be warned. I apologize for this chapter once again being kind of chatty and only vaguely going somewhere, but... they've finally left the village now! I can get on to STUFF happening! Also, in my belated perusal of the monthly site search referrals, I came upon one result, "cooking papa yaoi" that kind of threw me, soo... I decided to make that search relevant. EDIT: Ack, Puppeh, you posted another picture and I forgot to comment! Ah, I love it! It's so dramatic and flashy! I'll get it up in the Picture Book soon (my picture, on the other hand, is staying on the forum only, as it doesn't exactly meet the "general audiences" criteria).

After 8 months, I FINALLY finished the OC Meme. Not all of the characters represented are Memoirs characters, but they make up more than half the entires. So go check it out if you want more (weird) Memoirs art, or need some character reference lineart, as there's lots of that, too.

I HOWLED at this. Seriously, best part of my whole week. I never pictured inupapa as a vain one, though. Oh, and cooking papa yaoi picture was full of win.

I wouldn't call it "vanity" so much as "having a reasonable limit to how stupid I'll let myself look." ... And do we really want a prepubescent boy running around with a 20-something man wearing tight leather pants? With the aforementioned yaoi picture and all, it's already hard enough to insist that there's really "nothing going on".

With his stripe and eye color, the only thing for the red to accent is his skin tone, which makes his other features sort of fade. In Inuyasha's case, his main physical accent is his ears, and the red in his outfit makes the pink in them stand out, therefore it works for him.

Phew, new chapter's up. Hopefully people who have been bored to death by the nonstop conversation and generally-not-going-anywhere-ness of the past number of chapters will find this one a breath of fresh air. Stuff... happens! Also, here's the alternate chapter image that didn't make the final cut, for obvious reasons. But I still had to draw it... for obvious reasons.

Oh. My. God. 1. Akagane is toast? He can barely move! 2. Alternate chapter image... dear lord! 3. Yay new chapter! 4. Actual chapter image = Yay! This early in the morning, I am only capable of making lists to express my feelings. xD EDIT: Geez, keep up those illustrations and SOMEONE is going to make an Inupapa/Akagane yaoi doujinshi. I'm sure there's probably a yaoi fanfic by now. EDIT AGAIN: And now that my brain is functioning properly, I'm a little confused. How come Sango's outfit didn't lock up like that?

EDIT: Geez, keep up those illustrations and SOMEONE is going to make an Inupapa/Akagane yaoi doujinshi. I'm sure there's probably a yaoi fanfic by now. Haha, as much as I mess with him, the Aka/Papa pairing is only done in jest. Whenever I try thinking too seriously about it, I always run into that annoying fact that Akagane would have to cheat on Hisui to do it, and that really lessens his appeal as a character. Why did Sango jump into a sake jar in which she could breathe and the interior was way huger than it looked and was fillled with the youkai that made up Hiraikotsu, which was currently dissolving somewhere else? Short answer: I overthink things, Takahashi doesn't. Also, in case people didn't understand it, the hypothermia problem is due to the fact that alcohol evaporates at a much lower temperature than water, therefore if you get it on your skin, it has the same cooling effect as sweat even if you're not hot enough to sweat, so evaporates away your body heat when you don't have any excess to spare. That's why wet wipes and hand sanitizer make your skin feel cold even if the stuff itself is room temperature. Imagine how cold you'd feel if you dunked your whole body in it!

So...I assumed it was magic and he wasn't supposed to jump in there, but...was it because he was wearing leather? In which case....leather won't instantly harden up, so....?

So...I assumed it was magic and he wasn't supposed to jump in there, but...was it because he was wearing leather? In which case....leather won't instantly harden up, so....? To clarify "overthink", I meant "When I originally wrote that scene, I wondered if alcohol had any adverse effects on leather so did a quick Google of it and found that alcohol makes leather brittle." I was mostly afraid that if I had him swimming around in booze for hours in a leather jumpsuit that someone more well-versed in textiles than me would call me out on it and tell me he shouldn't be able to move. ^_^* I'll just explain it away with the fact that it's not really "leather" leather that he's wearing, but a tanned youkai snakeskin, and, um... youkai snakes' skins harden in the presence of alcohol. Yeah. It's a joke, I don't want to think too hard about it. >_<
