Yeah, for this arc, I wanted to have someone around who was both younger and a bit on the goofy side. Younger so that I could finally start maturing a bit by playing a leader role, and goofy to offset the eventual dark nature of this arc, and I didn't want it totally bogged down in angst by having another emo character around.

I just hope she doesn't end up being horribly obnoxious to the readers. ^_^*

Kami, she's already obnoxious. That's what she is. Heeheehee.

Strange thought, males in the forest, females on the mountain. Sounds sort of like the amazons. Bet there is a weird twist to the plot though.

That aside, I agree with the others. That last bit was EPIC, and I absolutely LOVED the chapter illustration. Poor Inupapa. Good thing you didn't de-claw yourself trying that.

Here's a random request of everyone:

I'm trying to think of music that would go along with the Memoirs but am not having much luck, since I'm really bad at musical inspiration. I can hear a song and think it reminds me of something, but I can't think of something and then think of a song it reminds me of.

So, I was wondering if anyone could think of any music that could be associated with the series in any way. Vocals, instrumentals, something as a character theme, an image song, or just something that could be associated with a certain scene. I'm just curious what sorts of music people would think of.

Hmmm...., interesting request. Now that I think about it, I don't ever associate music with what I read. Perhaps because it's not that way in the real world? And I don't listen to music when doing other things, cause I just tune it out. And I don't listen much to vocal, especially contemporary stuff. It all sounds the same to me.

That being said, "Mars, the Bringer of War" from Holst's " The Planets," is always good for violence and suspense. The music used for the Shinichichi-tai reminded me very strongly of it. And various Romantic Composers, Borodin, Rimsky-Korsakov, Sibelius, and lots of others, have very "atmospheric" music; good for legends and "fairy-tales." Are you a fairy-tale, Papa?

Sorry I can't be more specific. Maybe if I let it bubble around in my brain for awhile, something will come to the surface.

I dunno. Most of the music I listen to is in another language (or has no words at all), so I don't understand most of it, hence its beauty. I associate music more with visual stuff than the written word, though. In other words: I haven't the slightest idea what music would be good for Memoirs.

That said, at a few points I thought of Melody by Eri Nobuchika and The End of the World by Angela, but only briefly, like for a paragraph or so, and only certain parts of those songs. Umm, a few times (more often than the above two) Brothers from the Fullmetal Alchemist soundtrack has come to mind. I dunno, it's a toughie. Memoirs is a difficult story to apply songs to.

EDIT: Oh my god, I just thought of something. Is Myouga young when you meet him?! Or young-ish?!
