I feel I should contribute something more worthwhile than 'wow, that was a smashing episode,' but that does cover it. Okay, so Naraku gets away AGAIN, but at least if he and Moury are on the move at the same time it suggests that perhaps there is some deeper scheme in place. Also, I was struck by my own surprize when I paused to consider that Kouga and Kikyou have never actually met before now. I find this really exciting, actually - when characters whom we all know finally meet up with each other. The suspense is back!

Actually... I kinda disagree. I didn't really like the chapter. Naraku was just randomly gone again -not to mention that it was probably the most STUPID way to get away-, Kikyo was RANDOM, ABSOLUTELY random... so I'm just praying that this week's chapter will be something worth reading I mean, the manga has been awfully slow paced lately, and I kinda need some action. However, I have to say that this chapter had one of the funniest moments I've ever read. Kouga: A fall from a cliff wouldn't kill her. Talk about Kikyo's tendecies for falling from cliffs. She could start a support group with Kanna... Anyway, this will probably go somewhere, but I have no idea where that is...

I see your point. It's a sad fact but I guess I'm just so used to Naraku floating off into the sky while Inuyasha hurls curses at him that I'm no longer surprised. As to the random element - again, it seems that Kikyou's appearance is usually random. She is just...there. At best she fires an arrow at something, at worst she - well, falls off a cliff. I suppose what I liked about the chapter was that it set up a (possibly) interesting situation. I like Kikyou, and I'd like to see her make a definitive move of some sort.
