And, of course, Sesshoumaru's off-the-air running gag: "... Korosu zo?" (I almost hope they incorporate that into an episode someday. I will just laaaaaaugh ^_^) Patches... I don't get this one. =( Please explain it, please? :: pout whine puppy-dog eyes::

XD I'd totally die if they'd put that in an episode someday, too. You know, if Ken Narita were to get his way with Sesshoumaru, we'd NEVER be able to take him seriously. Ever again. Never. Ever. As for ".....korosu zo?" That's from the Movie 2 omake CD. XD --- First, You need to listen to this clip.Sesshoumaru has killed off the two Inuyasha producers and is planning to take over the show. Then when Inuyasha-tachi come in, THEY basically end up fighting over which one of them is the main character of the series. So Sesshoumaru figures he should kill off the main character of the show so that... IT CAN BE HIS SHOW!!! AHAHAhahAHH!!!1 Later on the CD, there's a cast interview/chat thing. During Ken Narita's segment, he kept talking about that line "....korosu zo?" over and over, talking about the different inflections and ways he wanted to say it.

XD Ah, my favorite line of Sesshoumaru's EVER. "Korosu zo" just means "I'll kill you", but with the inflection he puts on it, it might as well be "So... should I kill ya?"
And, yes, if Ken was allowed to play Sesshoumaru however he wanted (like he does in the interviews), he would be more of a comic relief character than Jaken.
His little segments in the Anime Scramble interviews are funny as heck, too. In the "seibai" segment, he kept talking about "akuryoku kei", which I'm not positive of meaning, but I THINK he's talking about Sesshoumaru's whip, since it makes sense in context.
Nobita: "Okay, Sesshoumaru-san, he wants to be whipped." Sesshoumaru: "Whipped' ..." Kappei: "Do you know what that is?" Sesshoumaru: "Yes I doooo!" (god, the way he says this is hilarious. "Shitemasu yoooo!") "Whipped, huh? So, like that gymnastics move or something. That takes physical prowess, you know!" Noriko: "Yeah, do that!" Sesshoumaru: "You gotta be buff! Okay. So, with my gymnast's whip..." Noriko: "You mean your dark energy whip." Sesshoumaru: "Ah! That dark energy whip... it's a piece of crap, really... But I'll beat you anyway." Noriko: "He wants to be punished by Sesshoumaru." Sesshoumaru: "'Kay." Noriko: "But you're acting like Narita-san right now." Sesshoumaru: "Nononononono, I'm not Narita Ken right now. I'm Sesshoumaru." Kappei: "You're lying." Sesshoumaru: "Okay, let's go, let's go! ... Dark energy whip... you suck.... POISON CLAW!" Kappei: "That was Narita-san!" Sesshoumaru: "Yeah, okay... But I said it with him."

Hahahahahah! I think I'm going to have to make a sig out of that " Dark Energy Whip... You suck..." line. XD
And I've been giggling about Kuro's soundclip for days now. I even got my short-attention-span/notoriously lacking in humour* friend to pay attention long enough and giggle with me over dinner (Apparently, I imitated the intonation pretty well...) the other day. Hehe, just thinking about it makes me giggle... =)
*It's not really that she lacks a sense of humour; she laughs all the time. It's just that if the story requires paying attention for longer than 45 seconds, she'll tune in and out and miss parts of the joke. ;P

Heh, well here's a sound clip of the piece of the interview I quoted above: Akuryoku-kei me... kudaran.... DOKUZUME!There are a couple of things that I didn't translate, either because everyone was talking over each other or they said something too fast. Some of the dialogue in the translation is a tad out of order as well, since some of those lines were said practically at the same time. The "Tairyoku-kei" part cracked me up. Basically, Sesshoumaru was talking about gymnast's moves, and physical prowess (tairyoku) when referring to the dark energy (akuryoku), and got the two mixed up when doing his line. ^_^*

hi there, new to the board, first post and all that. Just wanted to say... XD Ah, my favorite line of Sesshoumaru's EVER. Thank you for translating this! I've been listening to these radio dramas for a while with only a vague idea of what was going on. (trying to teach myself japanese, it's slow going.) I love just hearing the voices, but it's even better when you understand it.

I love just hearing the voices, but it's even better when you understand it. Heh. I'd say "no problem", but interviews are a pain to translate, since you've usually got at least three people talking at once, and they talk really quickly and in broken sentences. The dramas are a lot easier, since they speak slower and one at a time (although, the "Tenka Hadou no Ten-Ten-Ten" drama was a pain because of that irritating ball of light and its reverb chipmunk voice. I couldn't understand a THING that thing was saying). However, the "Tenka Hadou no Ten-Ten-Ten" drama DID have the glorious reprise of "Korosu zo?". ^_^*

As frightfully amusing as the whole "korosu zo" thing is, here's something to get back on-topic, specifically the title of episode 149:
"Haran o Yobu Ippon no Ya", or "A Single Arrow Calling up Trouble".
I'm going to guess that we're still in the manga canon here, after the short jaunt into filler that the spring special will provide. And if it is the manga... that means Kikyou's sort of back! She likely won't make her "official" return for a couple more episodes, but we're well on the way to getting Kikyou back. Now we've just gotta get Kouga back, but that's not gonna happen for a looooooooooong time.

Any idea on how long this stretch of kannon will last? I predict that after the stuff in the Grave of the Father. it'll be filler-ville for a while. Though the anime is far-enough behind the manga to be able to be in Kanon mode for good 18-or so episodes. Now we've just gotta get Kouga back, but that's not gonna happen for a looooooooooong time. Let's leave Kouga out of this for as long as we can.

But I missed Kouga!
Gah, the guy goes missing for a year and the minute he comes back, he's back to fighting with Inu, just like old times! XD Gawd, but I missed that!
Heehee... and I can't wait to see the reactions to Kikyou-bashers when Hijiri makes her reappearance. The Kikyou-bashing revolving around 147-148 was enough to make me nauseous. "Like OMG, I can't believe they made a whole episode based on Inuyasha and Kikyou. Like OMG, like, that is so not right!" >.<*
