Ah... iy4ever just released this. I'm starting to understand Kuro's obsession with Hakudoshi. You could tell he was gonna be a little badass in 142 when he started swinging that big spear around, and he just continues to deliver (thought that spear thing, I think was the coolest thing I've seen him do).
I really like his theme... the kinda tribal, kinda sexy string and drum percussion, with the sinuous oboe writhing around on top... and then the bassoons (I think) kick in, and make him sound really dangerous, and in the end of 142 there's a long version with horns, as well. I think this theme was used during the Hakureizan arc, but I can't remember off-hand who it was attached to (probably Naraku =) ). This show has cool music. I should really start buying the soundtracks. =)
Anyway, 143:
It made me laugh, it almost made me cry (Kanta *and* Shippou waterworking was almost too much for me). I loved Inuyasha's smug little face during the "Mmhmm, mmhmm" scene, and I really enjoyed the townspeople going to war for some reason; it felt like watching history. The animation was amazing... I loved it when Inuyasha leapt in to save Shippou and "the girl" from being squashed under the headless youkai's foot. It was so quick, but something really cool happened with his hair.
Also, did anyone laugh a bit later, after he clawed the youkai and its corpse fell to the ground... and twitched? I felt so morbid, but it was really funny to me.
My only complaint is a silly one: Kanta's father wouldn't have been able to make all those grunty noises while he was running around headless. He didn't have a neck! At least, not enough of a neck to make any vocalizations... His larynx was either on the head or completely obliterated in the cut. But, you know... he was a giant headless otter monster wandering around the countryside of Japan. I guess I can cut them some slack...
