The manga will probably go for 100 more chapters!

Takahashi commented in Shonen Sunday #15 (which included chapter 400) that she is aiming for 100 more chapters of Inuyasha!!!



What are your feelings about this? Are you glad or mad that Inuyasha might not end for a least two more years?

If this is true then I will have to say that I will probably not follow the manga every week anymore, and instead look at them every two weeks. While I still like the series, I'm afraid I can't take how slow the plot has been by reading them weekly... I hope we get some new stories very soon, I don't think I can handle 5 more months about Inuyasha trying to make his sword stronger.

100 more chapters!? That's a lot. I hope during these chapters that some of the big questions will be answered.
Or maybe on chapter 500, Takahashi will aim for another 100.... Who knows. But for me I'm glad the series will continue a little bit longer.

I think i know why the inuyasha anime had to stop.

Sunrise ,I think, wants the manga to end or atleast be near the end before continuing the series.

I think Takahashi warned them it is going to be a while before it ends.

I think that the anime was catching up too fast to the manga. Thats why the series ended. I don't think I'm right, but its reasonable. I think... I hope. :

I'm actually really, really, REALLY upset about this.
Well, for real, I'm having a dual thoughts on this...

For starters, what I've stated since FOREVER, about losing confidence in Takahashi a long time ago. She keeps on stretching the story, so now I know I'm not expecting for the great ending I was fifty chapters ago. Whatever, I don't care anymore, as long as everything ends up CONCLUDED IN SOME WAY. (Or I get to see the manga finished sometime in my life span, whichever happens first...)

On the other hand, I'm actually glad that I get to see some more fresh Inu stuff. However, is it me, or the manga's been lacking some quality lately? Well, at least before Byakuya appeared anyway .


All in all, I could say that yes, I am a bit scared about the manga going on for 100 more chapters... I hope that was just an exaggeration, but I really REALLY doubt it...

For the 100 chapters I would really like it to be based on the plotline. I don't want to see bunch of fillers that doesn't have to do with the major characters.

Also, I would really love it if Takahashi showed Inuyasha's background a little more. I think most people are wondering about that.

While I'm glad Inuyasha isn't ending... but a hundred chapters? ...No thanks... I think 50 is plenty...
