I just checked in inuyasha-info.virtue.nu/ the teaser for episode 166-167, and, as everyone (myself included) guessed, the "finale" is going to be Ogre's Rock. From what I read, they condensed like 10 manga chapters (since Goryoumaru appeared). "Looking for Naraku's heart, Kagura assaults a monk. But she inversely receives a serious wound. On the other hand, after beating the monk in a temple, Hakudoushi runs away for the Rock of the Devil with the baby who has been hidden in the temple. InuYasha group also goes for the Rock of The Devil, and finally meets Naraku. In order to bring all the confrontation with Naraku that lasts for 50 years to an end, InuYasha decides to use a shard of Shikon for the first time to make a final fight..." Sounds like Ogre's Rock to me alright

Huh, I wonder where he's getting the summary. Probably a magazine or something. YTV's site just has an image up this week instead of a written summary: Animate.tv doesn't say anything, either, and WebSunday won't have their summary updated until tomorrow. Ah well.

I watched ep 165 (Raw) this afternoon. I don't speak Japanese very well (haven't taken it since high school) but having read the manga I got the general Idea. It was good, mostly setting up for next week which is going to kick major freaking a**! (I hope anyway ;D) Even with just the little blurb at the end for 166-167(which is only like 5 seconds) it's looks awesome! sigh... last episode (at least for a while). on a side note, is anyone else addicted to Pocky? 'cause I'm start'in to think that it's Japan's answer to crack! I've been through 3 boxes in 4 days!

Well, I took a look at YTVs site and here's what I could get from the "summary" they have (then again, my japanese sucks): Inuyasha-tachi find youkai-slayers travellers who turn out to be kids. When they follow them, they arrive at a weird temple. (Here I couldn't get mostly anything, so I'm mainly guessing) There they find the temple's priest: Goryoumaru, who has a strange youkai attached to his right arm. Inuyasha-tachi and Goryoumaru (insert translation here ^^") but that can't be concluded, for thousands of youkai start attacking the temple right then. Anyone who DOES know japanese? ^^" (taken from: www.ytv.co.jp/inuyasha/jikaiyokoku/jikaiyokoku.html )

That's pretty much right, although the last line is like, "Inuyasha-tachi suspect a connection between Goryoumaru and Naraku but can't prove it". I'll update the summary on the main page... later tonight.
Shounen Sunday's website also has a little summary/blurb thing:
This week is the final episode special for the temporary hiatus of the TV series. Inuyasha's group finally meets to have one final decisive battle with their old enemy, Naraku. The long battle over possesion of the Shikon shard, and when it's over, what will happen in the end?!
Take that as you will.

Just as I said:
YTV was missing a MAJOR detail in their summary ^^"
Whatever, just makes me feel nice that I'll be watching the grave-of-flowers scene animated...

Hey, I found out what the ending song for the final episode is going to be! It's.... dun dun dun... "My Will"! Here's the proof. It's the lyric booklet for the "Best of Inuyasha II" CD. Underneath the "My Will" image, it lists what episodes it was played for. The caption reads "[episode 1~20/1st ED] [episode166-167/ED]"

I thought that the ending animation for the final ep was really beautiful. I'm glad they chose to bring back "My Will" for it, although I did love "Dearest".
At least they didnt end it on "Itazurana Kiss" or "Brand New World". No offence to people who liked those, it's just that personally I despised them!.
I think my big problem with Itazurana Kiss was that it didnt really suit the series, and they used it during the Shichinintai arc which was, for the most part, very dark. I remember episode 118 (could be wrong on the number) where Jakotsu had Inu Yasha now reverted into his human form, and was about to beat the snot out of him. Your watching it and your thinking "Oh no. Poor Inu. This is really awful". and then, after all of this suspense it exits to the cheery song "Itazurana Kiss". It just didnt fit.
And when Kikyou died again (or at least everyone thought). Inu Yasha was so depressed at the end of this ep, which made me depressed and then..."Itazurana Kiss" starts playing.
HOW CAN YOU PLAY SUCH A HAPPY SONG WHEN MY POOR INU'S IN PAIN!!
...but then again maybe I just didnt like that song ^_^

Looking at those pictures make me want to watch some Inu-Yasha. I'm dying for some Inu-Yasha right now. I can't keep still!
