The basis for this is an ad I just saw in the US Animerica magazine:
VIZ is releasing the English versions of the Inuyasha TV anime books. These are books that are based off of the anime episodes and use frames from the anime and publish them comic-book style. Hehe, the Japanese ones are pretty fun because sometimes I couldn't fully understand what they said in the fillers, and those kinda provided a "script."
Fun stuff! ^_^
Anyhow, the release date was just listed as "five volumes planned for 2004." I'll write down the ad info and post again after work. Suddenly my memory of what else was on the ad just failed me...

Ack! Evil double post!! I'm not sure if t3h Patchness was putting release dates for tankoubon and other books/videos/DVDs on the site. I didn't see any for the usual releases of tankoubon or anything, but some people still might want to know. --- Inuyasha tankoubon vol. 34 release date: Feb 18 2004

Yeah, I don't really put up release dates of things that come out on a fairly regular basis (tankoubon, episode DVDs, etc). I'll just note them if there's something special about a particular volume, or something in the release schedule is different from normal.
You said something about and ad saying Viz was going to start releasing the TV anime books, but haven't gotten back with the specifics of the ad yet ^_^*.

Whoops. Hehe, you know, when I went back to read it, it said less than I thought it did... so I didn't add anything else. Eh-heh.. ^_^; (quick readthroughs of ads always seem more detailed to me... o.O)
The ad basically says that there are five volumes planned for 2004, with six more in 2005. Pages are in full-color, and use screens from teh anime episodes. The first volume should be released this month (February).
Suggested price is $11.95.
...ouch. I guess the $9.00 per Japanese issue isn't that bad, after all... o.o

When ever I go to tutoring, I go to borders next door. I had seen some of the new anime/mangas in the store, I think they cost $11 something?! The regular mangas cost just $8 something close to $9.00!
