Hi Patches - The 'rumor' about the manga ending in the summer is in the updated Q & A on the Information from Japan site. (I guess that I better get around to actually joining this board, right?)

... I'm still not seeing it. The only thing I'm seeing on the Q&A page about the end of the manga is:
"If they were true, InuYasha would finish in 2004 because Chapter 390 is to appear thi year."
"In addition to the fact that the manga will complete by fall of 2005 ... "
The site's guess of the manga ending around chapter 390 would mean that the manga will continue for 44 more chapters from right now. Since one chapter is released per week, that would put the end in, like, December 2004.
Unfortunately, there aren't any official sites claiming to know when the manga will end, so I'm still leaving that up in the air myself. Yes, I know it's coming to a close, but how soon still remains to be seen.

Hmm... I'm only going to refer to this as rumor-ish becauase even though it's official, the report was a little speculatory as to which game is being released. INUYASHA VIDEO GAMES NEWS Jan 15, 2004 - (woo, I caught this one a bit late... o.O) Bandai released its planned 2004 lineup. Anime Insider(published by Wizard), IGN, and several game sites mentioned that Bandai was planning to release a US version of the Inuyasha RPG. The date is listed as July 2004. It's a little sketchy as to what title it is (it's just listed as Inuyasha RPG for the PS2), but I beleive that it's Inuyasha: Juso no Kamen, given that that's the only PS2 game for Inuyasha planned. Source: IGN, with their credit going to a Bandai press release. (I have yet to find the press release published, but I just don't think Bandai puts this stuff on their site. Bandai's site sucks... )

Like, really random rumor time. IIFJ says something about Takizawa of Tackey & Tsubasa making a guest seiyuu appearance in some one-hour special that'll air in a couple of months. Uh... Can singers act? ::is scared of what this special might be about:: [EDIT] IT'S TRUE! ::dies:: AND HE'S A TAIJIYA!

Nyer. IIFJ has more info up that I'll have to poke around to find legit sources for, like the title of the Tackey special (he says it's "A Fateful Love Song Before we Met", but I wanna get a Japanese title for that).
He also put movie 4 on the calendar. Where that's coming from, I have no clue. ^_^* But, IIFJ is usually reliable when it comes to this sort of thing, so I'll likely find some sort of official announcement of this stuff shortly. In the meantime... that's what the Rumor Mill's for. ^_^
[EDIT]
And apparently I can't read, since the title of the special was indeed in the original article I read. -_-*

Eh, if it's about a fateful love song from 50 years ago, is it safe to assume it's going to be an InuxKik story?
And who wants to bet that Takizawa plays one of the taijiya that gave Kikyou the jewel?
Sorry, I'm speculating. Is that allowed in the Rumor Mill?

...and are there any reports of another insert song?
It's Takki, after all.
It's gonna be weird as hell, but still. *giggles* Maybe it'll be Sotsugyou again.
And actually... Honeybee, that WOULD be an interesting thought if it's about Inuyasha and Kikyou. I've always wanted to see more about their relationship, since all we've ever got are their memories and flashbacks. I'd LOVE to see a show focused on what they used to have. ^_^

... Hah?
Okay, Kouji just updated his blog, and he says that the Spring Special with Takizawa is episodes 145-146. ... Uh. I know there's been episode-swapping in the past, but... Sunrise is typically correct in their schedule, and they have 145 as that "The Bizarre Sentries..." episode. Plus, if the Spring Special IS episode 145, that would have it playing in March, not April. I'm going to guess that it's really 147-148. The TV series is going on another break the 22nd and 29th of March, which'll get us through episode 146 before that point, and it'll be April by the time the show comes back.

Well, IIFJ is again one step ahead of me with the episode lists:
Episode 146: Kishouarai Toritsukai Abi-Hime The Rough Mistress of Birds, Princess Abi
And, as I suspected, the spring special is listed as 147-148. As usual, I won't update my site with this until I find it on an official site, even though it's most likely true. I don't doubt the validity of fansites' information, I just... feel bad stealing their news outright instead of hunting for the source myself. ^_^*

One of his J-drama was "Strawberry on Shortcakes". So....I bet he'll do just fine as seiyuu =^^= though I prefer him being given a young boyish role ...hehe ;D

Whee, more stuff coming from IIFJ that I haven't yet found an official source for, but is still likely true: Inu's going back on Anime Scramble on May 14th! XD Maybe Noriko just wanted to do a "HA! I'm BACK on the show!" kinda thing, since that'll come right after the episode where Kikyou "officially" comes back airs. But still... I wonder who the guests would be? Kappei, most likely, and maybe Satsuki. It would probably be asking too much to get Ken back (god, he's so insane in interviews ^_^*). But, regardless, yay, more wacky interviewy-ness!

Hi Patches:
According to the Irridescent Dreams forum, Anime News Network, quoting Sunrise, has announced that the anime will be ending in September. Supposedly it is being replaced by Gundum Seed (if I remember right). Have you heard this one yet? The source in the boards is Kagome, who is pretty reliable.

Huh. No, I hadn't heard that. I usually stick to Japanese websites for news concerning the series in Japan, and I haven't heard any such thing on any of those sites. It's quite possible that it's true, so I'll be on the lookout if anything of the sort surfaces anywhere official.

Thanks - I'll check in later knowing that you're on the job. (Thanks for checking - I can hardly read Spanish in my language class - much less even try for Japanese...)
