As a general rule, things don't go up on the main site unless there is an official source giving out the information. Of course, I find a LOT of other information floating around on fansites and message boards and the like that eventually turn out to be true, but currently do not have any "legitimite" source.
Therefore, I'll give out a couple of "unconfirmed" news bits here. If anyone can find an official source that indeed confirms any of these, please let me know so I can move them to the main site for all to see:
- The PS2 game, "Juso no Kamen", will be released March 18th (currently Bandai's site only says "March").
- The drama CD to be released on the 25th of February is entitled "Jigoku de Matteta Shichinintai" ("Shichinintai Who Waited in Hell").
- The first movie will premiere dubbed at Anime Expo in July of this year.

Most likely. I think it was Otakon 2002 where the TV series dub was premiered, and that was released to the public very shortly thereafter. I'm going to guess the movie is going to be the same way. Expect to be able to buy it less than a month after its premiere date (that is, unless it goes to theaters, which is unlikely).
However, again, this is in the "Rumor Mill" section for a reason, since neither AX nor Viz's websites have said anything about the first movie, but the convention isn't until the summer, so we still have a lot of time to find out for sure.

Update on the rumor mill: - Title of the drama CD: CONFIRMED by retailers. "Jigoku de Matteta Shichinintai" has been added to the main news site. New rumor: - Fourth movie possibly to be announced. Reported by Inuyasha Info From Japan, concerning the World Hobby Fair. This is just SPECULATION at this point, since the third movie was announced at the World Hobby Fair last year. So, if there IS going to be a fourth movie, this is likely where we'll hear about it first.

The PS2 game isn't even out in Japan yet, so there's absolutely no word on an American port.
But in other "American port" news, according to one of the Adult Swim mods, there are some new bumper cards stating that the new Inuyasha episodes will start in March or April. There's been no "official" announcement about this yet, so I'm relegating this to the rumor mill, but it could very well turn out to be true.

ok standard rumor disclaimer.
This was on another site and I thought i should put it up here in case it is true. They say that the cards on adult swim said that new inuyasha starts in march/april.

Hey, more stuff about the PS2 game! Inuyasha Info From Japan has a new 15-second commercial of it up. You get to see Fluffy and Naraku's sprites. XD God, they're cute. I want this game. Even though I don't own a PS2, Japanese or otherwise... One thing that weirded me out is that in the quick shot containing Sesshoumaru's sprite, behind him stood Jaken and... unidentified girl. I don't THINK it was Rin, since she looked like she was wearing the schoolgirl uniform of the original character. Granted, with everyone chibi, proportions are way out of whack, since the Jaken sprite comes up to Sesshoumaru's shoulder, so it's hard to tell if the girl has child proportions or not ^_^*.

I think I remember someone saying that Anime Insider reported that the Inuyasha game for PS2 was going to released in Americe late this year. But i'm not sure, that's why this is here.

Sesshoumaru's sprite killed me the first time I saw it. XD If they ever do an Inu-papa sprite, I will truly be smitten. I think I've oficially become obsessed with the FATHER of the boys now. <_<
Heh-heh. ^_^
Ack, and from what I heard, Suwa ended up not going to this year's World Hobby Fair.

Oddly enough, I DID hear a rumor that Inu-papa was going to be a bonus secret character. I'm not terribly sure how that works, though, since he's kinda dead. But, like I said it was just a rumor (or it might have just been some random fangirl ramble of "ohhh, I wish this were true". I'm not quite that adept at picking out the difference in Japanese).

Hmmm... I wonder if they'll ever use Inu's dad in any filler episodes. That would be soo cool ^^ They could always either bring Inu's father back to life for a while... or just use him in flashbacks ^^;; I mean- they brought Inu's mother back as the that lady with no face, for a little while, but I hope they don't do that ^^;; LoL.. That would be scary. Ugh... I wanna see the third movie already ><... * ~s~i~~g~~~h~~~~*...

Hi Patches -
According to the Information From Japan website, the manga will be ending this summer and the anime 1 -2 years after that - have you heard anything about this?
Thanks!

Hm, where specifically does it say this on the site? I know it has an educated guess of when the manga will end, based on the history of other publications in Shounen Sunday and Takahashi's other works. But I have yet to see anything official saying when the manga will end. And I doubt we'll actually know it's going to end until about a month beforehand.
But, again, if that site says specifically that some higher-up talked about the manga ending this summer, then I'll go looking for an official source for this information. If not, it's still just a guess.

well the guy from viz at the con last week was sounding like he knew something but he wouldn't say anything when we asked. But most people say there will be about 150 anime But I have seen nothing on the manga ending. My 2 cents. On rumors I have heard.
