What are you reading currently?
I just picked up a new book in Barnes and Noble called "The Famished Road" by Ben Okri. Anyone heard of it? It's a book set in Nigeria and based in Nigerian mythology. The narrator is a child who was born a "Spirit Child"; a spirit who is constantly oscillating between the spirit world and the living world, going back and forth because he makes a pact to come back to the spirit world as quickly as he can, but his baggage (all of his mothers that he's upset by dying an early death) keeps him coming back to the world of the living.
It seems really compelling, and I didn't know anything about this country's mythology before this! This should be really good!
