Well, of course there's a Japanese dub of South Park. I shouldn't have been so shocked to hear it, but still... 8|

I wonder what the average Japanese South Park viewer thinks of the Chinpokomon episode... I'm always a little ashamed to laugh at that one.

It's like in Shaman King where they travel to the United States.

I got a kick out of the episode where they arrive at a "japanese town" and Ren complained about how foolish the american view of japanese culture was. Yet the anime itself has a very stereotypical view of the US as well, making it look sort of like a modern wild west for the most part.

One of my favorite Simpson's episodes is when they travel to Japan and they make fun of all of the stereotypes that we have of Japan (esentially making fun of us). Godzilla attacking the plane at the end is friggin' hysterical!

Yeah that is funny. I would never have guessed that ken & barbie sounded just like *Sango & Miroku. of course I'm too OLD to watch Barbie to recognize. I mean OLD. I'm 1 decade old & four years. That's old to me.



*I have more respect to capitalize their names than barbie & ken. I've always wanted to snatch the smile off of their faces. They act as if though the world is perfect.

Ah...but the Barbie and Ken world is falling to pieces didn't you know? Barbie and Ken are splitting up, according to Matel and Barbie's going to have a new man! ( You have to keep up on these things when you have a two year old girl).
And the new Barbie movie is out too, and yes I've seen it...what seems like twenty million times...sigh. Thanks to Kelly Sheridan's lack of a real voice change for her characters, it's still like watching the insane adventures of Sango.

I watched a Barbie movie...a few days back (What? It was either do that or do math homework my mom left for me...) and I couldn't help think that it was SANGO sitting there talking about magical paintbrushes while looking like a 3D animated figure...

Creepy. Makes you wonder what voice actors do on their days off.

Oh, I found out a few days back that Kappei did the voice of Sumeragi Subaru for the Tokyo Babylon OVAs... Pity he didn't do Subaru for X the tv series or for the movie... It was weird to hear Inuyasha's voice coming from Subaru though... Not to mention that they have completely different personalities... I mean, here's Inuyasha, the stereotypical brash tough guy who hides all his feelings and then you have Subaru who's... to put it shortly, a complete and utter wimp (Though he's a lovable wimp). It's just FREAKY to hear Inuyasha's voice appologizing for nearly everything...

Hey - for any of the Sesshoumaru (English) dub fans out there you might be interested to know that David Kaye is the voice of Megatron in various Transformers incarnations.

Not that I - er - watch Transformers...

He was also on an episode of Reboot. And I will admit to watching Reboot when I was a kid. Made in Vancouver, afterall ;D !

Additional: Since this thread was originally speaking about Kirby Morrow - he was also the voice of Goku on one of the various Dragon Ball series.

Also, since someone mentioned Gundam Wing: the (English) dub for Bankotsu is Gundam SEED's Kira Yamato - Matt Hill. Which is peculiar, since they are very different characters.

And one final note from Reboot: Matrix as Naraku is actually quite good.

i also found out that Matt Hill is also Ed (the redarted one) from Ed edd and eddy. and his sister is janise jayud (kagura).

i also found out that Richard ian cox is also scattershot from transformers and kirby morrow is hot shot

i also looked at the credits of the SSX3 game and found out that Ailstar Abeil (hakkaku) is psymon and Michael Dobson (forgot who... i think muso) is that one country dude (i forgot cause im not right there looking at the vg credits right now!)

i also found out that brenna o'brein (rin) was Yoshi for the supermario movie and the kids in ren and stimpy.
Speaking of ren and stimpy Sven Hoek (rens cousin) was played by richard ian cox!(i cant imagine inuyasha playing some German voice XD)
