Since you love Kappei Yamaguchi so much, I figure you've heard him sing, right? L0L... When I first heard that he's in the music industry, I got kinda scared. It's pretty hard to think of Inuyasha singing with that voice of his ^^;; But then after listening to some of his songs, they sound kinda different from his anime roles, and some of them aren't bad at all. Personally, I think Sango's voice actress has a beautiful voice, she has a lot of cds out and I've heard all of her songs. You guys should listen to some of her music, it's very pretty ^-^

Are you obsessed with Kappei or something Kuro? If I remember correctly hes the main thing you talk about on the AF forums... And about the Viz DVD's. How much are they? And are they in japanese with subs? (Theres no point in me buying one if it doesnt have subs cause its all gibberish) COSniper
Obesessed with Kappei? Me? Harnar, never! Just because I only watch certain anime because he's in it? Just because I go around using his pictures as my avatars/sigs? Just because he put out a restraining order against me and got an unlisted number because of me? DOES THAT MAKE ME OBSESSED!!?!?!?!!11 XD (just kidding by the way) Well, yeah, I'm a huge fan of his. The man has done some awesome work. And yep, I've most definitely heard him sing. Thing is, it gives me mental images of Inuyasha drunk, singing karaoke on Wednesday nights after work. And as far as the VIZ DVDs, they're anywhere from $17 - $30 a pop here in Honolulu, and I'm sure its no different in most places. They're both subbed and dubbed, and sometimes I get kicks from switching the tracks back and forth just to hear the difference.

17-30$ Hmm time to start saving...
But if their dubbed that means theres only up to episode 57... (Thats the last dubbed one right?) And how many episodes come on one DVD? The average is 4 for DVDs of other anime series and if my math is correct thats 251.80$
57 / 4 = 14 17 x 14 = 238.00$ 10% tax x 238.00$ = 23.80$ 23.80$ + 238.00$ = 251.80$
Thats alot for 57 episodes...
I hope im wrong for the amount of episodes per DVD...

Actually, they only dubbed up to episode 52. Well, they only showed up to 52 anyways. They dubbed up to around episode 88 last I heard, but that's just rumors. ^^;;

52, 57 wahts the difference??
Ok, maybe there is a big difference bot O well. Is the quality between the DivX episodes for your computer and the Viz DVDs good enough to spend over 200$?
On a side note...Does anyone know if 137 has been subbed anywhere? Saiyaman usually doesnt take this long to sub and Inuyasha4ever said theyd have it thursday of last week. Am I just lookign in the wrong places?
...any help would be appreciated...

Actually... theres currently 13 volumes (39 episodes) of VIZ's Inuyasha out. I'm pretty sure that they're going to continue the 3-episode per DVD format, as well. Either that or if they go Fruits Basket on us and put 6 episodes, they'll charge ~ $40 per DVD.
Anyhow. ~ $27 x 13 volumes = $351
Once the VIZ dub catches up to and releases the 138 episodes that are currently out, that would equate to about $1,200 (and probably more) for the 45 DVDs that it would take to cover that many episodes. o.O!!!

All I have to say to those numbers is ........... (......... means no comment for those who dont know)
Why so much for an Inuyasha epsiode. Its only the best anime series out there, to me that is...
But im going to stick to my computer episodes. Over 1300$ for alot of Inuyasha episodes just doesnt cut it...
...im broke anyway...

Heh-heh, I wouldn't be so quick to judge. The Japanese DVDs cost $60 a pop for a 3-episode DVD. That's why I don't get those as often...

Its funny watching the dubbed version, the translations are different than the subbed...
I set up my computer to play episode 40 at the same pace the dubbed on television is. Its funny reading the subs and listening to the dubs!
But Its making me want the DVD's because I realize the quality sucks for my computer episodes...
...but I dont have that kind of money...
NOOOOO!!

yep sickness it is! by the way the saiyaman release for 137 is out. I must say that my guess as to what they were saying was WAY off on this episode!
I have all the viz dvd's and I am waiting patiently for the 22 days till the next one.
I may have to get a job for february it is the month of stuff. I have 2 more inuyasha dvd's, fruitsbasket english manga comes out and the ost to it not to mention the next laurel k hamilton book and there is one more thing but I can't remember what it is.
Now here is a question, the english voice actors for Inuyasha are in town this weekend anyone got any bright ideas what i should take to get signed! I have been pondering this question for weeks and still can't figure out anything. I am so desperate at the moment I figure I might have to buy something somewhat cool at the con! anyone got a good idea?

Well, yeah, I'm a huge fan of his. The man has done some awesome work. And yep, I've most definitely heard him sing. Thing is, it gives me mental images of Inuyasha drunk, singing karaoke on Wednesday nights after work. Oh... Oh dear. There's a doujinshi in there, I'm sure of it... <Where I get my episodes...> I first started picking up fansubs from a forum-friend, intent on only seeing what was going on after that huge Kouga cliffhanger AS left us with. She sent me the first episode first, just so I could hear the Japanese voices. Kappei won me over in the first fifteen seconds, and I knew I had to have them all. The "Oi, Kikyou" speech in that first episode is still tops among my favourite Inuyasha moments. =) =) Hee hee! So, I snarfed episodes 1-63 from a friend of a friend who'd burned them to disk. They're from various fansubbers, including many "anonymous", animeforever, and ADV Films (they were reall bastards, too! So unprofessional.). Generally the images are pretty low-quality, with translations ranging from laughably bad to better than Viz's manga. I used bittorrent to snooch eps 81-134 from Anime-Kraze, overall the best quality of any of the IY fansubs I'd had up to that point, except for the unfortunate translation of "Houshi-sama" to "household" in one ep (Yeah, I dunno. Serious WTF moment). I jumped ships and have been getting IY4Ever's fansubs, since. I honestly can't say I see much of a difference, quality-wise, but they're faster than A-K . Since they' have fewer projects and seem very competetive, I think they'll probably stay faster. So, I've still never seen eps 64-80. =P Ah well. Maybe one of these days I'll figure out how to do the DCC dance with an irc bot. I will eventually buy the DVDs, but I'd like to see some season sets, first. Anyway. Such is the power of Kappei.

except for the unfortunate translation of "Houshi-sama" to "household" in one ep (Yeah, I dunno. Serious WTF moment). This is why spellcheckers are your worst enemy when you're writing something with lots of foreign terms ^_^. I think that was episode 82, if I remember correctly. AK's older subs had a lot of translation and awkward wording issues in them. Thankfully, they've gotten better. ... I think. I dunno, I haven't downloaded anything from them since the second movie ^_^*.
