Hey there, this is my first post here. Im somewhat of a lurker when it comes to anime forums, because, well, sometimes I just feel a little overmatched because Im not Japanese nor do I have a huge collection. Ive been an Inu Yasha fan for about half a year since my cousin showed me some episodes on tape and let me read the mangas she had. Ive been an on and off anime fan through the years, my first and favorite anime being Evangelion, I also watched Slayers in the like, but for a while I stopped watching..until I saw Inu Yasha.
Anyway, I downloaded all the episodes I could find off Kazaa, but I had been unable to find any RELIABLE news site for Inu Yasha that could also provide connections to see the latest episodes! I had lurked different Fansubbing forums and I finally stumbled across this site from one of them, and from all the posts Ive read, as well as the reliability of Patches' newsposts, I have to say he is one of the coolest, newbie friendly and dedicated webmasters out there. Just want to give Patches a big thumbs up for keeping us obsessive compulsive news checkers who refresh every 3 seconds for new News updated and for being a generally cool guy. :]

^_^* The great irony is that this message comes while I'm away at a conference, and thus unable to exercize my "dedication". :P
But thank you for the support. ^_^
And really, honestly, if you have anything to say to me about the site, positive or negative, please say so. I'd like to make it as fan-friendly as possible, so I'm open to any input. At least, anything within my ability (I am only human). "I want you to put summaries of the other 127 episodes and 330 manga chapters up!" isn't likely to win much support on my side. I might start backlogging later, but I want to get everything done in the present first (heck I don't even have the "Metro" section done yet). Ah well. ^_^

Ah well. ^_^ lol, regardless, you're normally the first Inu-Yasha site that has summaries and reviews of the most recent anime episodes/manga chapters. Not to mention information about the third movie, which is something hard to come by (and will be until the movie is released on DVD in Japan).

Yes, again thanks Patches for all the information youve given us Inuyahsa obsessed fans...
But where do you get your information? The best site ive found is yours, and i dont think you make it all up.
You dont have to tell your secrets if you dont want to, even if I knew the site id still look here cause you seem to seperate the important stuff from the useless information thrown in to annoy frequent lurkers like me.
So to sum it up, thanks...
[EDIT]
Do you need any help? I can help you with summaries. Probibly not the best but it could at least lessen your workload...
Just a heads up for the future if you need anything, you can always PM me.

But where do you get your information? The best site ive found is yours, and i dont think you make it all up. ^_^* It's not really something I keep a secret. Every post on the main site has a source link below it, directing you to where I found it. The links page also has a collection of pretty much everywhere I go to get information. But, I guess there are two bits of information on the main site whose source I don't make immediately obvious: The upcoming episode titles, and the summary of the next week's episode. The upcoming episode titles come from one of two places. Most often, they come from Inuyasha no Tsubo-Hachi, Tsujitani Kouji's online diary where he comments on the weekly recording sessions for each episode. Usually he gets episode titles up first, but sometimes Sunrise beats him to it. Sunrise's site doesn't update as much (usually only once a month, on the 10th), but they list the staff of each episode as well, so you can have a better guess of whether or not it'll suck (really, if you pick out your favorite episodes and check the staff list, I guarantee you a couple of names will keep popping up). As for the next episode summaries, those also come from one of two places. Most often it's Yomiuri's Inuyasha website, where they give a 10-second video preview of the next episode, plus a two-line text summary (which is typically what my front-page summary is a translation of). Shounen Sunday's Inuyasha website also provides a short summary of the upcoming episode on the bottom of their page. Most of my actual "news bits" originate from Ryuuteki Rakuen, a Japanese fansite that's actually quite similar in purpose to my own. It's an excellent news site, but I generally shun quoting it as a source, since it is a fansite after all. Occasionally they'll have links to official sources for their information, but otherwise I have to hunt around to figure out where they're getting their news from (even though their information has been 98% reliable). News from this side of the ocean is usually harder to come by, so I lurk around half a dozen forums, hoping that someone will drop a tidbit I can snatch up.

Well Im going to have to rely on your site, because everything you offered is in japanese (which i cant understand...!)
I hope to learn it as soon as i can, but its going to take a while. But thanks for the sources, its nice to know where you get all of this information. (Just trying to make sure its not some fake info site) And like I said, im going to stick with your site, its in english. Something I can actually read!

Ah! I actually only recently discovered the kennel, and of course I've been coming back since. Basically, I love the commentary you give on the anime and manga. ^_^ It's just great to also get an ENGLISH commentary on the current manga and chapters by someone who knows what she's talking about. Most of the time, all I see are Inuyashaworld-style blabber (meaning, very poorly written and 95% wrong) about the newest Inuyasha things coming from Japan. Heck, some people apparently come from the future and have commentary on episodes that haven't even aired yet! o.O! So in short, I like that you've chosen reliable sources, and that you also take the time to translate the Japanese into English. --- And lets see, lets see... it's also pretty clean and concise, which is good.. although I'm a graphic person so I like pictures. XD I don't know if you want to or plan to, but putting screenshots of the latest episodes or maybe a one-panel scan of the latest chapters would be pretty cool, but I don't know how you'd feel about that. Oh yeah, and of course your Fluffy mockery pictures RULE.

I don't know if you want to or plan to, but putting screenshots of the latest episodes or maybe a one-panel scan of the latest chapters would be pretty cool, but I don't know how you'd feel about that. See, I had been contemplating putting up a screenshot/scan of my "Best Moment" comment in the reviews section, but I'm trying to keep the site limited to original artwork as much as possible (excluding the coloring book scans). Of course, I COULD do what some of the Japanese commentary sites do, and make little doodles about the weekly episodes and chapters. ^_^* I like having the site have as much personality and originality as possible, but I don't know if I have THAT much spare time on my hands.

Thanks for all the comments. Sorry for the less-than-promptness of my responses, but I've just graduated from college, so, needless to say, I've got other things on my hands at the moment. ^_^* I'll be back to a more regular presence once things get organized again.

Hi Patches -
I don't think that anyone has given you a thank-you recently - your updates in the anime and manga have been fast, fun and awesome (even though I will have to forgive you for EVER impugning Miroku...).
Thanks again for the awesome job!

Yes yes, thank you oh so very much for the wonderful and up to date information you willingly provide, Patches!
Admittedly, your site is the only site I check for any Inu information. Even though you're technically a fansite, the fact that you provide legitimate sources is enough for me! Also, it's so user-friendly, and kind to the eye as well.
Thank you!
