So hopefully next weekend we'll have... more vaguely informative (yet yummy-looking!) trailers. And maybe we'll get to hear a snippet of Rakuen, too. ^_^;; I can't wait to hear that song! Er, didn't Cat record it off the radio last week? Maybe we should poke her some more. ^_^*

Hehe, yeah, maybe we should poke more. ^_^ Either that or... it's time to go hunting to see if anyone WAS able to record it.

I can't search for it, because my Windows 98 doesn't allow Japanese text in non-Microsoft programs. -_-

Well, this isn't from the production diary, which is still strangely missing in action, but I figured Tsujitani Kouji (Miroku)'s diary wouldn't hurt, either: 11/14 - 21 "Inuyasha movie recording"
It's been a while since I've addressed the Inuyasha members! This is about the recording of the Inuyasha movie "Guren no Hourai-jima". Up until now, the recording of the movies has taken place during intervals of the TV series, but since this time it's been three months since the last recording session for the series, the studio almost had an atmosphere of a warm family reunion (^_^)
About the particulars of the movie (this film's quality has been hailed the most so far!), the regular cast members' love of the production has been circulating, so it's been a heartwarming two days!
We were throwing jokes around and laughing about it from beginning to end, but naturally we were all professionals about concentrating on the actual performance, and all the cast and staff participating in this production have a rare kind of teamwork ability! Everyone please make sure you go out and check out our work!
At the close of the final day, as always there was a large serving of "Let's make a second Inuyasha TV series!" talks floating around.
It would be great if they really do make another one!
So, everyone, be sure to head to theaters to experience the Inuyasha world once again!

I'd love to head to the theaters to enjoy an Inuyasha experience, but I do not live in Japan nor have the financial means to travel there by December. Yikes, I haven't even seen the third movie yet. Better get to businness...

Speaking of Kouji-san... I wonder if Sango and Miroku are actually going to get some decent screentime in this movie. Seemed like they were kinda stiffed out of Tenka Hadou no Ken. Although with Sesshoumaru AND Battle!Kikyou around, and the story seemingly centered around Inu and Kikyou this time around... ....is Inuyasha holding someone in that shot of him falling into the fiery abyss? o.O [/random] Hehe, always good to hear from the cast members. Always seemed from their omake talks that they had a lot of chemistry going on behind the scenes.

Hot on the heels of the drama CD tracklist, here's the tracklist for the movie! Let's see if this year's track titles are as spoiler-riffic as last year's (like accidentally giving Inu-papa a name ^_^*) 1. The Door of Time 2. Shitoushin 3. Opening Title 4. The Children of Hourai-jima 5. Goura and Ryuura 6. Wound on the Back 7. The Ominous Island Hourai-jima 8. Kyoura's Attack 9. Fire-spitting Seitenhou 10. Sesshoumaru vs. Kyoura 11. Fate 12. Song of the Spirit-Sending 13. Puzzle of the Marks 14. Asagi's Decision 15. Rumbling Kettle 16. For Everyone's Sake 17. Firefly Light 18. History of the Song 19. Incoming Poison Insects 20. Guardian Miko Kana 21. Repercussion from the Kettle 22. The Stolen Jewel Box 23. Sullen Kagome 24. Revived Shitoushin 25. Sango vs. Juura 26. Kazaana of Certain Death 27. Faltered Sword 28. Sesshoumaru vs. Kyoura 2 29. Ryuura's Murderous Intent 30. Sango and Miroku's Strategy 31. The Children Stand Up 32. Unquenchable Fighting Spirit 33. Defeat Goura 34. The All-Powerful Ryuura 35. The Children's Power 36. The Final Decisive Battle 37. Escape from Hourai-jima 38. The Journey Continues ---- Wow, Sesshoumaru sure gets to fight Suzaku -- I mean Kyoura -- a lot. And the turtle finally has a name, besides Genbu. "All-Powerful Ryuura", huh? Greeeat, I'll bet he's gonna transform into something. But Shinohara wasn't kidding when he said this movie is overflowing with fight scenes. Looks like they get right to the juice of things at the beginning.

19. Incoming Poison Insects and 26. Kazaana of Certain Death Thank you, Patches!!! Gee, every badguy in the series travels with poison insects, JUST IN CASE he might run into a Buddhist monk cursed with a powerful wind vacuum in his hand. Now taking bets that's we'll hear Shippou (or possibly Sango) utter the immortal lines, "Don't do it, Miroku! You've already taken in too much poison!" Two tracks about those mysterious back marks... Still holding out hope for shirtless Sesshoumaru!

Darn, I guess wrong on who "O-san" was. Here's some more of the guest cast that's come trickling in:
Ryuura: Kanna Nobutoshi (also played Hiten in the series) Kyoura: Tobita Nobuo (also played Akabane in GetBackers) Juura: Kusao Takeshi (also played Bankotsu (?!)) Goura: Saizen Tadahisa (also played just about every random extra in the TV series) Asagi: Orikasa Fumiko (also played Sara and Nazuna in the series) Ai: Motoi Emi (no one I know)

Two tracks about those mysterious back marks... Still holding out hope for shirtless Sesshoumaru! Well, sorry to crush your dreams, but he didn't go shirtless in the movie, according to the reviews of people who saw the advance screening. The mark just appeared through his clothing. I have to go to lunch right now, but I'll see if I can get the review or two that I've found translated when I get back.

Okay, here's the only review I could find so far that actually had any content other than "I went to go see it". Swiped this from everfree, modded by... uh... I think it's "Haruki", but I might be reading that wrong. "Guren no Hourai-jima Advance Screening Review
So I went. Since it's before the opening date, only click below if you want to be spoiled:
It was a terribly freezing advance screening, that's for sure. As I expected there were a lot of children, and I went in there with this totally innocent look like no, I'm not just here to see Big Brother and his troupe, though I think all I'll write about is Big Brother and company. ^^ (who cares about the story? / ^_^) So, I'll say from the get-go that there was no Sess/Rin development whatsoever and Rin-chan was hardly in it at all (;_;) And there was clarification of the future, but it just ended with clearing up Inuyasha-tachi's future without saying anything about Sesshoumaru-sama I mean, you watch through the whole movie and it's pretty much a story that has nothing to do with the future! (^_^) The scene I wanted to see the most, of the mark appearing on Big Brother's back, was there, but it just appeared on top of his normal clothing (^_^), even though I wanted to see Rin-chan see it appear on his bare back! (;_;)
Kikyou was also hardly in it at all, and I think of the principle characters, Big Brother was in it the most aside from Inuyasha's group. Speaking of Big Brother, since this movie has his second-biggest role since Tenka Hadou, I think this'll be my second most-watched movie. And every single time Big Brother moved his pretty hair would sway all cool-like and he was totally beautiful!! Every time he appeared I was grinning like an idiot. Ahhh, Big Brother sure is cool~ No wonder he's the prettiest character in Inuyasha (^_^)
As for the villain characters, I thought the ended up getting covered like the Shichinintai, so they say they're all horridly strong and unbeatable, but Big Brother easily finished off one of them, and after a bit of a battle, Inu-kun also finished off the other villains. Since there was absolutely no Sess/Rin development, I'm thinking I probably won't go to the theater to see this one again. But if I want to see Big Brother, I can always rent it (^_^)
Thanks to all the publicity its gotten, all the information they give is totally irrelevant and ambiguous, and the story is just kinda run-of-the-mill... The manga's giving no signs of ending, and it's not like I want to write out their future myself, but with "future" being the keyword, it seems like they would at least touch on it before ending. That's what I think. Since I like the previous movie, Tenka Hadou no Ken, the best because of the Sess/Rin elements, I guess this one just didn't quite hit the mark with me. I'm just saying that to stir up trouble, of course (^_^) However, personally from an objective standpoint of the production of the movie, Big Brother's prettiness was a relief (^_^) In order to not think me petty, please don't think that this is all I think about. ^^ It was fun for other reasons, too~
Later, when this movie goes on rental and for sale, the Do As Infinity member Van-san who played the miko character, the performance was kinda awkward and killed the mood, kinda how I feel about Tackey's original character in the anime, and I'm sure I sound mean, but I hope that when it goes on sale they re-dub it with a professional seiyuu.
By the way, Big Brother was pretty. He looked a lot more like he does in the anime (in this movie) So, I guess that wraps up pretty much everything I thought about the movie. Finally... Big Brother in the ending was totally cool.
