According to this person: yukisss.tumblr.com/post/57930853399/inuyasha-wide-edition-special-cdOn the Inuyasha Wideban CD Sesshomaru proposes to Rin. Can someone check if this is accurate? Even still, that CD was not written by Takahashi. she merely only gave them permission to put the story in wideban format and gave them manuscripts of the final chapter that comes along with the CD:http://rin-sess.com/inuyasha-drama-cd And that she had zero control over what actually went in the CD. Therefore...the CD is not canon.

Therefore...the CD is not canon. Yes, it's accurate. It looks like the person translated it from a Chinese translation of the Japanese, so the wording is a little wonky, but the general idea is still correct. And it's also true that this was not written by Takahashi (none of the dramas are), so it's as canon as an anime filler episode, however you want to take that.

but is it true that jaken says Sesshomaru's gonna ask Rin to be his bride? Yes. But this line comes immediately after Jaken thought Sesshoumaru was going to propose to HIM, so I'd question the validity of any of Jaken's interpretations.

But isn't this drama a comedy like all of the rest and it's not meant to be taken seriously, in any event? So whether it's canon or not it's tongue-in-cheek, right?

I think that's generally what the radio dramas are for, yeah. Just sort of a funny little story that's not really meant to be taken seriously.
