Adore it.
Read the manga, if you don't already. =)

I love Furuba!! I've only read the manga, so I don't know if the anime is good. But I highly recomend it (the manga that is)! ;D

The anime is very good, too, though there are departures from the manga. They cut out a lot of subplots, and overall, it's a more innocent story, though it's got its fair share of angst. Shigure is thoroughly neutered, but the result is too charming to resist, I think. Ayame is... just... wow. Blaring bagpipes, booming voice, and mile-a-minute rambling. It's exhausting, but I love it.
The animation is very good and preserves a lot of Takaya's style. The Japanese voice cast is also quite adroit. Kyou always makes me cry in the end, and I don't cry easy. Even the music is good, though you might get tired of Touru's little chirping bird theme, and there are occasionally long drawn-out crying epiphany scenes that get tiresome after the first viewing.
Avoid the English dub... Anathema, I say. Okay, listen to it once to experience just how creepy Phone Sex Offender Yuki sounds, then avoid it.
Funimation's disks are a bit hard to figure out with my DVD players (ie, a playstation 2 and my linux laptop). There are two subtitle tracks --one that matches the English script and one that more authentically matches the Japanese.
So concludes my opinion on the Fruits Basket anime. ;) Tell me if you don't want to adopt Momiji, or fall apart laughing when Hatsuharu drags the school president into the bathroom. ;D

I Definitely want to see the anime! YES, Momiji is the cutest thing!! And yes, I almost fell out of my chair laughing when Haru did that to the pres (I think I sat there in disbelief for a moment before though)!! I just love all the fluff and humor! ;D Sex offender Yuki huh? I don't know...maybe I'll have to skip the English dub! I also really look forward to seeing Aya animated! I don't know why, but he's one of my favorites. I have a question though, does anyone know if the manga is still going?

I have a question though, does anyone know if the manga is still going? It is indeed. Up to maybe 110, 115? chapters now. There's no Kuro or Patches equivalent for furuba, sadly. I've only been able to find one group dedicated to regular scans and translations, the Yahoo!group Fruitygroup. Go ahead and leech off their sources, but I wholly recommend against getting involved in conversation there. The moderators actually seem to discourage maturity and intelligence. =P

So I watched the anime, and you're right Echolalia, Yuki does sound like a sex offender...or something along those lines (it just isn't right). So I'm content to watch it in Japanese . I still like the manga better (more angst and fluff) but the anime is really cute too! *goes to huggle Momiji plushie and watch the antics of Aya animated*
